The TOUGHBOOK® 55 comes with a quick-release storage drive that is from 512GB to 2TB in capacity. An optional xPak second storage drive can be added to this semi-rugged notebook as well.
The TOUGHBOOK® 55 boasts a 14” HD (1366×768) Non-touch or Full HD (1920×1080) Touch. The 1000 nit 10-point capacitive touchscreen for workers who need to work in direct sunlight can be adjusted down to just 3 Nit for use with night vision goggles. It can also be configured to Intel® Iris Xe graphics up from the prior UHD graphics capabilities. The touch can be used with a finger or pen as well as with a heavy glove.
The TOUGHBOOK® 55 has a backlit keyboard that illuminates the keys for users working in darkened areas. The keyboard backlighting can be set to numerous brightness levels and set to many color options.
The TOUGHBOOK® 55 has numerous options enhancing the system including an integrated fingerprint reader or SmartCard reader, FirstNet EM7511 4G LTE, u-blox GPS, or dual antenna pass-through. Wifi 6.0, Thunderbolt USB-c, and Dual Sim (NANO, eSim) are all unique features of the Panasonic 55.
